Kariouk Associates designed the Hill-Maheux Cottage in Val-des-Monts, Quebec, Canada. This retreat has by a family which is consisting of a couple with their daughter. Introverted provides privacy and private home space for them. But the owners also want to easy enjoy the nature of forest and lake landscape. The house plan achieves a maximum connection to the beautiful environment. Small retreat in here was designed to serve as comfortable living place for years. It has simple design of two living spaces, contains of private and public area. Private space consists of bedrooms, bathroom and storage. Even the public space consists of kitchen, dining and living areas. There is also elliptical space at the loft for the daughter.
Large glass wall provides maximize natural scenery and light of the sun. There is modern sofa at the living room for comfortable seating while is accompanied by warm fireplace. Interior landscape of the cottage mostly filled with metal plates. It’s modern touch by the owners. In small area, the architect is able to manifest the owner imagination of incredible retreat for their weekend and vacation. Red cottage looks so bright in the middle of the forest near the lake. Loft bedroom interior at small cottage is designed in elliptical layout. Bright interior is coming from colorful decoration which is applied in white wall and shinny yellow floor. It’s very young and suitable for teenage style. Minimalist furniture only manifested in two blue stools, one big bed with soft pillows and wall paintings.
Deluxe cottage interior design also created in private bathroom at first floor. Cool bathing under the shower while is enjoying wonderful landscape at outdoor forest and lake feels so exciting.
